Buy energy efficient fridges online. Buying a new fridge freezer is so easy, a few simple questions identify what size you need. How much freezer space do you need? how much cubit foot of fridge space? Do you want a bigger fridge or freezer? Fridge on top half or bottom? Do you need drinks containers or dispensers in your fridge? Some brands have coloured plastic inserts in the fridges - such as bosch and these look really nice. Which accessories do you want? One salad drawer or two? Solid shelves or wire shelves? I find solid shelves are better if you have a spill as things don't drip all the way through the fridge but are contained more. Check your fridge freezer is working riugh. Does it fill up with ice too quickly and constantly need defrosting? Do the sizes of the freezer feel cold? This could mean that the insurlation has broken down and your food isn't being kept cold properly. Do you want a new fridge freezer to go in the same space as your existing fridge-freezer? If so measure the space available. Do you need one for a fully fitted integrated kitchen or is a freestanding model ok? Does your fridge seem to be constantly running? If so it could mean it is struggling to stay at the right temperature. A new fridge can mean you have a bigger space for fruit and veggies and chilled food spaces and containers. Is the plastic inside your fridge scratched? This might mean it is liable to attract bacteria which can't be properly scrubbed off. If your fridge has seen better days - oir is many years old you could save a huge amount on electricity buying an energy efficient model. Modern fridge-freezers use a lot less energy and are better insulated keeping your food colder and safer. If your fridge warms up your food then you risk getting ill as bacteria can multiply in food not kept properly refridgerated. Decide on a budget - do you have a lot to spend?
